Publications
I have
written four SAE papers for the Motorsports Engineering Conferences. These are
available from SAE for $10 or $8 for SAE members. They can be delivered by
physical mail or E-mail. They can be faxed for $30 or $24 for SAE members. SAE

the Traction Circle was presented at the 2004 Conference. This paper on
racing lines was based on research done with the Driving Simulator and then
tested by Roger Schroer at the Transportation Research Center.
The reference number is SAE 2004-01-3534. You can access the paper at the

a related story “Analyzing Lines” in Race Car Engineering, volume 14 number
3. Training
Test Drivers with Data Acquisition was
presented at the 2000 Conference. This paper presented evaluation techniques for
evaluating driving skills. It is one of very few papers on actually using data
acquisition. This paper was written by myself and Mike Unger. Roger Schroer and
Dennis B. Grisez of the
Transportation Research Center in Ohio. The
reference number is SAE 2000-01-3568. You can access the paper at the SAE web
site. I
presented two papers at the 1998 Conference Asymmetric Roll Centers - SAE 983085. A Method
