Suspension Geometry - Tire Deflection The user can also specify a spring rate for tires and compute tire squish as a result of the load generated from springs and anti-roll bars. The tire squish can be crucial for vehicles with very stiff suspensions.
Detail of the tire squish computation. The springs and bars produce a 608.878 lbs force on the right tire. This yields a 0.304 inch squish of the right tire. The left side has a –41.8 lbs force and the tire grows 0.021 inches.
